It is time for to reveal the nominations for the Springfield Local Area Bloggers Awards (Blogaronis). I would like to congratulate everyone that has been nominated. Voting will now be open for all local bloggers. To vote, you must have an active local blog that was created before 1-01-08. You may only vote once, no matter how many blogs you have.
Please vote for your favorite one in each category by sending me an e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with one of the nominations, please check out their site before casting you votes. You do not have to vote for every category but it is recommended. The voting will end on February 15, 2008 by 11:59 pm. I will announce the winners on February 16. Again, I will be asking a couple of other local bloggers to assist me in the vote counting for accountability.

I'm honored to be nominated in the Rookie category. Kudos as well to the kind soul who nominated me. Guess I gotta start making my blog more Springfield-centric! :)
Larry, Go magazine noted their nomination today and are sending folks your way. I know MySpace pages qualified last year, are Facebook pages qualified blogs for voting this year as well?

Thanks for the heads up on the Go Magazine. MySpace and Facebook are similar to tradtional blogging and many people use it to blog. I believe that both should be accepted. I will put up a post on this tonight.
